Disney’s ‘Moana’ Publicity Content and Material

On November 24th, 2016, Walt Disney Studios released Moana, the fifty-sixth animated feature film from The Walt Disney Animation Studios, and the seventh Disney film from director duo Ron Clements and John Musker. The Walt Disney Company’s publishing partner, Penguin Random House, and their DK Publishing subsidiary began working closely with Mitchell Stein to create content in promotion of the Disney film, and products relating to Moana. However, since specific details of Moana were unreleased, as not to spoil elements of the film, much of the publicity surrounding the film would need to use alternative methods than to heavily focus on the plot of the yet-to-be-released film.

Mitchell Stein then provided DK Publishing with written promotional content that both promoted Moana and showcased the legacy of The Walt Disney Company, by sharing the influence of the company and looking ahead to how Moana fits the beautiful legacy that Walt Disney founded his success upon.
